About Jackson
Jackson Roof was born on November 25, 1994 as an extremely premature baby. As a result of his early delivery, Jackson found himself on the 'autism spectrum'. He was incredibly bright at some things... even frighteningly so. By the time he was three he had learned how to read by himself from watching the letters on the page as his mom and dad read a couple of books to him every day. When he was 4 it was discovered that he had perfect pitch and the ability to hear and remember music. When he was about 7, after having watched a handful of episodes of 'The Beverly Hillbillies' he had programmed his little Casio keyboard to the EXACT Earl Scruggs banjo part in the opening theme song.
Jackson's unique gift for music started to really take form just a few years ago in his own compositions. His father is a classically trained pianist who recognized qualities in his music that go beyond the commonplace. This young composer's music often challenges the listener with interesting bi-tonal colors that create tension and drama. His music is very cinematic in scope. Interesting dissonances abound and they always seem to make sense. As you listen, try to be open to any visual imagery that might be evoked.

Abrupt Moment
A peaceful and serene opening gives way to chaos and building tension. Finally, the conflict is over, but nothing is quite the same.
Rescue
Written for a self-made cue sheet involving specific story details.
Waiting
Ominous and foreboding. Something is going down and this is the calm before the storm.
Investigation
Untitled Sci-Fi Track #1
Similar in Mood to 'Waiting' but with a little more melancholic overtones.
